Navona has investments across North America, in all important sectors of the real estate market. Primarily, our investments are acquired for the long term, generally with no set investment horizon established at the time of acquisition. Income from investment and security of the invested capital are the over-riding considerations. Capital gain potential is a secondary consideration, except where opportunities exist in a re-development or turn-around situation.
Although Navona will consider investments in all sectors of real estate, our primary appetite is for industrial and retail, existing or build-to-suit investments with strong single tenants and long-term leases in place. While not our prime focus, we do also acquire office buildings, residential properties and rural long-term development land.
Geographical consideration is a factor and investment properties must be well located, both in terms of current and future space demand patterns. Our preferred locations currently are Southwestern Ontario, Alberta and the Greater Vancouver Area, Southwest Florida and Texas.
